My beautiful friend, Zain Ali, and I went to a NJ park in the middle of quarantine last month to take some Eve-inspired photos. I wanted to use this time to experiment some ideas I had in mind. I had recently purchased a crystal ball and wanted to shoot her through it. I also placed some gels in front of the camera to add vibrant colors to select spots.
It was scorching hot and humid with a lot of bugs so we only ended up getting a few shots but I think they turned out quite interesting. Some people have asked if I photoshopped the color or fish eye lens effect but I love that those were done in-camera and remain “real” while still giving a surreal feel to the images. I also played with After Effects motion graphics to add a slight more whimsical flair to the images. What do you think?
